Project Timeline

The Trust has undergone a long period of research and court proceedings to get the site to where it is today.

2013 - Movement by Whanau members to seek action and creation of Maori reservation

2014 - Kiore Trust formed

2015 - Planning and development

2016 - Site clearing begun

2017 - Going forward The Trust plans to hold public consultations and have the involvement from the community and council. This will include fundraising activities and grant application processes.

2018 - The Trust will engage engineers and builders to begin the site development.
